These Terms apply to your use of mambotruck.com (including the Quote Builder and chat) and to our text-message program. The website and the MAMBO catering services are operated by Maclen Magnuson LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company based in Sheridan, Wyoming, doing business as Mambo Truck and Mambo Catering (“MAMBO,” “we,” “us”). By using the website or opting in to our texts, you agree to these Terms.

1. Quotes and pricing

  • Estimates first. Prices shown on the website or in the Quote Builder are estimates based on the information you give us (guest count, service hours, menu, location, and who’s paying). They are not an offer or a booking.
  • Your quote. We send you an exact quote after we review your request. A quote is valid until the expiration date shown on it or, if no date is shown, for 14 days from the date we send it. We honor an issued quote until it expires.
  • What’s included. Unless your quote says otherwise, per-guest pricing is all-in and includes applicable sales tax, a 20% service charge (gratuity) and drinks. A travel fee may apply depending on your event location and is shown on your quote.
  • Changes. If your guest count, date, times, location, or menu changes, your price may change. We will send you an updated quote.
  • Availability. Dates and trucks are not held until your booking is confirmed as described below.

2. Booking and deposit

  • Your event is booked only when we confirm it in writing and your payment commitment is complete: full payment, or the $500 + tax deposit, or another method we approve in writing (for example, a purchase order).
  • Deposit. The deposit is $500 plus applicable sales tax and is applied to your event total. The deposit is 100% refundable for 72 hours after you pay it. After that, it becomes a credit valid for 12 months, which can be transferred once to another event for the same company. A credit does not guarantee availability for a future date.
  • Balance, cancellations, rescheduling and weather. The balance due date and the terms for cancellations, rescheduling and weather are as stated in your quote or invoice.

3. Our guarantee

If your team doesn’t rate the first lunch a 9/10, we’ll re-cater your event for free.

  • The event organizer gives the rating within 7 days after the event.
  • One re-cater per event, for the same guest count and menu.
  • The re-cater is subject to availability.

4. Text message (SMS) program terms

Program name: MAMBO Catering Event Updates. Texts are sent from (385) 800-1155.

Our text program has two separate types of messages. Each type needs its own consent.

Customer-care texts (about your request or event). These are texts about a catering request, quote or event you have started with us. They include:

  • quotes and quote updates, event details, scheduling and availability;
  • booking and payment status, including invoices, deposit and payment links, and payment receipts;
  • reminders, day-of-event logistics (arrival times, truck location, setup), and changes or cancellations;
  • follow-up after your event, including requests for a review or feedback;
  • replies to messages you send us. Some replies may be automated or written with the help of an AI assistant.

You agree to customer-care texts by checking the text-message box on our Quote Builder or another website form, by texting us first, or by telling us directly that we may text you about your event.

Marketing texts (optional). These are promotional texts, for example offers and promotions, new menus or trucks, seasonal events, and newsletters.

  • We send marketing texts only if you give separate, express written consent, for example by checking a separate, unchecked marketing text box on our website form. Agreeing to customer-care texts does not sign you up for marketing texts.
  • Consent to marketing texts is not a condition of any purchase. You can get a quote and book an event without agreeing to marketing texts.
  • Marketing texts may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system or other automated technology.
  • We do not send marketing texts between 9:00 pm and 8:00 am in your local time.

Terms that apply to all texts.

  • Message frequency: Message frequency varies.
  • Rates: Message and data rates may apply.
  • Opt out: Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving all texts from us. You’ll receive one confirmation text, and then we won’t text you again unless you opt back in by replying START. You can also opt out by any other reasonable means, for example by replying “cancel,” “unsubscribe,” “quit” or “end,” or by telling us by phone or email. We honor opt-out requests promptly.
  • Help: Reply HELP for help, or contact us at (385) 800-1155 or events@mambotruck.com.
  • Carriers: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Privacy: We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number or text-message opt-in data or consent with third parties for their marketing. See our Privacy Policy for how we keep consent records.

5. Using the website

  • Please give accurate information in the Quote Builder and in chat. Don’t submit someone else’s contact details without their permission.
  • The website, its content, photos, menus and brand names belong to MAMBO or its licensors. You may not copy them for commercial use without permission.
  • Menu items, photos and descriptions are representative and can change with availability. Tell us about allergies or dietary needs. Our kitchens handle common allergens; we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
  • The website is provided “as is.” We try to keep it accurate and available but don’t guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted.

6. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, MAMBO is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the website. Our total liability for any claim related to a booked event is limited to the amount you paid for that event.

7. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Because our events are performed in Utah, any dispute related to these Terms, the website or an event will be brought in the state or federal courts located in the State of Utah.
